The design problem was to design an apartment unit fit for a travel-savvy couple starting up a family of their own, keeping in mind that, the interior should promote the Filipino culture.
The Urban Filipino Bukid Living concept is an urban rendition of Filipino rural living. The goal was to integrate elements of traditional Filipino farm life into contemporary metropolitan living. This was achieved thru details which pay homage to a simpler time that can be found throughout the space. The selection of materials indigenous to the country, the use of iconic symbols found in Philippine culture, and furniture design ideas reminiscent of provincial childhood, were all used to create a modern home that is truly Filipino.
